What We Do

The current pattern of consumption and production is undeniably unsustainable, leading to worldwide environmental crisis and socio-economic disparities between different population groups. In the Systems for Sustainable Society lab (Amasawa lab), we aim to clarify how society could be “doing more and better with less” through life cycle thinking. Based on quantitative assessment and societal system design, we envision to support decision making for a sustainable future.

現在の消費と生産のあり方は明らかに持続不可能であり、世界規模の環境機器や社会経済的格差を導いています。サステナブル社会システム研究室（天沢研究室）では、社会が「より少ない資源でより豊かに暮らす」方法を明らかにすることを目指し、ライフサイクル思考に基づく社会システム設計と、その定量評価に取り組んでいます。
